	This is not New York, this is Pointe St-Charles Listen to an interview about the gentrification of Pointe St-Charles and how the ads about the new condo projects do not represent the rich history of the area. 	Sarita Ahooja - Involvement with CLAC Sarita talks about her return to Montreal. She became involved in an anarchist organization called CLAC (Convergences des Luttes Anti-Capitalistes) that organized protests and demonstrations against the Summit of the Americas in Quebec city and the expansion of NAFTA. She says the principles of CLAC were autonomy, communal decision-making, autonomy, solidarity, anti-colonialism and anti-capitalism. During the organization of the protest in Quebec city, there was a divergence of opinion about the plan of action within the leftist community, and CLAC proposed to campaign directly at the fence to be closer to the decision-makers. She also discusses the repression by the authorities (which included kidnapping during the protest, gasing, etc) and how it help the organization gain political maturity. After the Summit, the CLAC rode off the 'high' for 3 years, and organized 3 campaigns against the gentrification/condo-making in the South-West of Montreal, immigration policies and the environment. The CLAC slowly disintegrated after 3 years, and she finally left because she no longer had the time to participate. While the link is not direct, today's CLAC Montreal was inspired by the Convergence des luttes anticapitalistes (Convergence of Anti-capitalist struggles) from 2000 to 2006, initially created to mobilize against the FTAA and the Summit of the Americas in Quebec in April 2001. 	Sarita Ahooja - Experience at Concordia University Sarita talks about her education at Concordia University in art history and how the student movement in the early 1990s against Llyod Axeworthy and the Apartheid influenced her activism. She also briefly touches upon the fact that her father was part of the Sir George Williams Riot (find out more about this event here). Find out more!
	Occupy Montreal - Interview with David Suzuki Part of the "Occupy movement" that received lots of public attention following the major "Occupy Wall Street" event, Occupy Montreal was a peaceful demonstration against economic inequality and capitalism. The famous "We are the 99%" slogan was used to highlight the concentration of wealth into 1% of hands. 	Montreal Student Protest 2012 - The Casseroles During the 2012 Student Protest, one of the techniques used by protesters was the banging of "casseroles" (pots) from their homes or from the streets at 8pm.
